If you’ve had your fill of Paris’ famed tarts and pastries, head on over to the Angelina Tearoom on rue de Rivoli. While the tearoom is best known for its luxury hot chocolate and signature Mont-Blanc pastry, it keeps a lesser-known secret: its ice cream sundaes are divine!

The Angelina Tearoom offers a variety of sundaes, but the Coupe Mont-Blanc should be your best bet. This scrumptious dessert is made of meringues, chestnut ice cream, vanilla ice cream, candied chestnut shreds, and whipped cream. The chestnut ice cream is the highlight of this frozen treat. Being earthy and sweet at the same time, its flavor profile is so unique to ice cream that each bite is a delight. Every other ingredient, most especially the candied chestnut shreds, does wonders to elevate the entire experience.

If you prefer a more conservative option, the Coupe Rivoli may be just the thing you need. Apart from the meringues, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream that’s also present in the Coupe Mont-Blanc, the Coupe Rivoli features the famed Angelina Hot Chocolate along with a serving of its equally rich chocolate ice cream. This luscious combination is something any chocolate lover would relish.

If sundaes seem too much for you, you can always go for plain ice cream. At the Angelina Tea House, you can enjoy either 2 or 3 flavors with a whipped cream topping. Among their best flavors are caramel au beurre salé (salted caramel), pistache pure de Sicile (pure Sicilian pistachio), and noisette du Piémont (Piedmont hazelnut). Nevertheless, there’s really no bad choice for desserts at the Angelina Tearoom. Just pick one and enjoy!
